I HAVE TO TALK ABOUT THE DODGEJUMP:you can jump out of a dodge,the strange thing is that it's horribly hard to do in NG+ and i don't know what upgrade does that,it isn't the speed increase and i hope it's not the dodgekick.So,the dodgejump is spamable in NG for a superior speed,i would say that the NG+VERY HARD MAGICLESS category is the more captivating idea.

The punch is simple and effective

The kick is better but weaker,can be defensive without chain,the secret is to knockout small targets.

So the punch/kick duality is largely defined by the size of Knack.

The air kick is the best approach move,perfect if it KO in one attack.

The bodyslam is highly unsatisfysing,many players and reviewers made the mistake of using it instead of the kick.

The others are explained by the game,a far paralysis can be followed by a grab,the ennemy with a circular saw can be reached by a long punch.

The multi punch is your strongest attack but the startup is slow,you can incorporate it in a chain of punches.The airkick is better than the shockwave after.

The somersault+kick is the main combo,strong,fast,even on two targets.Can reflect the projectiles.
