Does the Wii U run the Wii games faster, or is it the same?

I think its pretty close to the same

we do not know this yet but we will get round to it

Wii U has slower loading times (by like half a second) which would cut you back by 10 seconds in the whole run.

also to clarify that using a wii disc on the wii u is still WiiUVC as you use the wii virtual menu, just so if you use the wii u
