Retimed to according to rules.
I support the usage of smithy strat.
Beating songs at those speeds is already very impressive. Your best bet is to try and talk with a verified pro.
Upon reading the official rules at: https://git.mcbe.wtf/MCBE-Speedrunning/Speedrunning-Rulebook/src/branch/master/platform/README.md#virtual-reality I would see it would fall under PC.
I would like to do a run using oculus quest 2, but I'm not certain which category it would fall under. The controls are most similar to console, but the oculus version is also based on windows 10, in which case it would be a PC run (with a ton of disadvantages because of lack of buttons).
Would it be possible to create a new category so Oculus is separate from the rest?
The game is now apparently called Age of History 2. Are we planning on changing discord and speedrun.com to match this?
I am unable to find these scenarios in AoC2
Civilization: Delaware Difficulty: Beginner Ultimatums: Yes Time: 12:38
@Gloriousbees You're a pretty shitty person, you know that right? Kinda kidding. I don't even think you're still running the game.
So I've "discovered" a new strategy. Well, more like I took an existing mechanic and exploited the hell out of it. Essentially, (this is really only good for maps with more than 3 countries and less than... idk 50?), I build up a very large army as quickly as possible. I insult everyone to the point that I could send an ultimatum to them (Opinion <= -10) I then send ultimatums to vassalize (although you could take all provinces for smaller nations) every single other country.
Other things to note: Taxes: A couple ticks above the recommended Good/Investments: Minimum to maintain Research: None Starting Research Points: Max Army Upkeep, then Administration/Tax Income
If anyone has ideas on how to refine this strategy, please comment below
Runs that I used this for: Modern World Victory% (this was the first time I actually used this strat, and I only tried it because my friend thought it would be cool if I could vassalize the 2nd nation.) Sengoku Victory% Ancient Greece Victory%
Note: While this strat is best for Victory%, it could be adapted to Conquer, you would just spam through the turns and annex them once the truce was done. If they declared independence, then you just ignore the declaration, vassalize them again. When it prompts you to acknowledge the declaration the next turn, you just say "Fine", but they're still your vassal. Eventually they give up on independence.
The issue with my run was that there never was a peace treaty, but once the timeline was finished, I was able to recruit troops like I had annexed it.
Depends on the case, but at least for my run, (in which basically the exact same thing happened), it was because the other runner had been running the game for a long time and was a mod.
I would assume they would be different seeds, as a co-op game may have the players split up and have one head to the nether, and one stay in the overworld. (It'll also depend heavily on whether or not you use the Beta or Normal version)
The only issue then is: Why aren't PC/Console runs split between Pre 1.16 and Beta? If we did that, then I'd hold the WR for Any% Glitchless Random Seed PC (and I'd probably be re motivated to actually try and get a better time)
(This was a Random Seed PC run, if that helps locate it. It was already verified by a moderator (Fedecrash02).)
A friend who I ran Any% Co-op Glitchless with just made a speedrun.com account, and asked that I update the run to have his profile linked. Now that I have, my run is gone. Did I do something wrong?
Tod, did you do Set Seed or Random Seed? They seem to be slower to verify the Random Seed runs, as I have 2 runs that I've been waiting for 2 days to be verified.
All Achievements will always take at least 33 hours (because of the "100 days" achievement). We should consider additional category extensions like those present in the Java Edition.
