Absolutely. Definitely join the discord (icon next to the following button). On discord, on the list of online players, we have a live role that always shows you who is livestreaming.
Perfecting Bidoofs entry would be a cool category. I always say: Do a full run with recorded footage and we can make it a category :)
Make sure to record a run of you getting the softlock and posting it to youtube, then we can create the category :)

My initial thought is 100% is full pokedex, missions, wisps, etc. Then have a CEA (Catch em' all) category where it would just be getting 240 or 242 pokes recorded into the pokedex (Not counting Shaymin and Darkrai as you need other games for that).
Update the game. We do not speedrun pre-day 1 patch. For insight, on Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl, we banned the earliest version almost immediately, due to how unfinished the game was amongst other reasons.
Unfortunately, there was a patch that rolled out as of yesterday, and pretty much negated all of our work for Any%, including Menu Storage. Join the Switch PSR Discord to get updated on current routes / etc.
