I'm surprised there aren't boards for each individual character for solo. Would be way more interesting to see the best times with each rather than have everyone play dancer.
To be perfectly honest, I've never manually removed load times before. I think I understand how it would be done but it would likely be time consuming and tedious as I'd have to retime all of the already posted times as well. I'd love to get a load time remover made for this game but I don't know anyone that would be willing to at this point. I'm going to continue verifying runs with load times for now but let me ask around to see what the best way to remove load times is. Would also love to see input from other runners if anyone has any. Thanks for bringing this up!
The game is now actively fighting me. Dealing with teleporting enemies or them randomly catching up to me. >.<
Alright, I'm starting to work on getting everything caught up. I added the PC platform selection, edited both my submissions to be on PC, and that apparently automatically verified them because auto-verify mod runs is turned on. Didn't know that was a thing. Going to do one or two runs today, and I'll clear out the rest tomorrow hopefully. I'll then be out of town for 9 days so I won't be able to do too much until I get back.
Yeah, I've got a run that's been waiting almost two weeks as well. It's fine as the boards allow 2 to 3 weeks to get to runs but there are things like adding a PC selection for platform and other categories like you mentioned.
With this game releasing on Steam, I expect there will be at least a small uptick in the number of runners. I would really like to flesh out the rules for different categories but as I'm not a moderator, it's not possible for me to do that just yet. If brossman wants help with the boards and verifying, I'd be happy to take on some work. I plan on submitting this game to several upcoming events so I'd like to help create and maintain a small community for this game if possible.
Alright, it looks like I got it to work for me as well. It's nice to know where all of the power-ups are in the first stage basically at a glance. I'm probably going to update my document to include optimal routes for each path. Does the document seem helpful for you all? It helped me a lot when I just tried it.
If we manipulate 1-1 to be 1 of 10 possibilities, does that mean those paths themselves will then stay the same? For example:
1-1a > 1-2a > 1-3a >... 5-SBa 1-1b > 1-2b > 1-3b >... 5-SBb
Or does only the first level stay consistent? For example: 1-1a > 1-2c > 1-3g >... 5-SBa
If it stays consistent, that would mean we could theoretically memorize the pathing required for each string of levels based on what level we start with. I say theoretically because we'd have to memorize roughly 370 stages in total. 37 stages with block layouts x 10 possible routes = 370 stage variations total. I'm not including boss fight patterns because I don't know enough about them.
Thank you both for explaining this again! It does make sense, and I may as well give it a go at some point. Fisel your English is great if you wrote all of that without the help of a translator. I admire anyone who can speak multiple languages. I've tried and failed to learn Japanese, Korean, and French. It's really hard to retain unless you're using it every single day.
I tried this on the emulator but I don't think I quite understand the directions. Wasn't able to get it.
Going to hopefully try this out today but I made a spreadsheet to help identify which pattern you get a little faster. Hope it's helpful.
Just finished verifying your run. Absolutely incredible job. You found several new skips we didn't know were possible on current patch including the vent drop. We thought that had been completely patched out. I would say the developers are probably finished patching the game at this point. They already have the enhanced edition out, and Little Nightmares 3 was likely leaked when they were hacked. It's pretty safe to say current patch will remain the way it is.
Congrats on your new world record, and I will hopefully be back competing for that number 1 spot soon!
Is there a consistent way to do this skip??? A couple of us tried for a while but were only able to get it a few times. Really great find and congrats on the soon to be verified WR!
As of right now, no one has been able to complete the skip on PS4. I almost managed to do it using a PS4 controller on PC so I think it's possible but incredibly difficult. I don't know if this would work but you could try plugging a keyboard into your PS4 but I'm not sure if the PS4 would recognize both control schemes or force you to use one or the other.
I would attempt to run this category on PC.
