Excuse the 5 year bump, but was this glitch ever replicated?
Can we make this happen? This could be a neat little speedrun where it's kinda like Dragster on the Atari but with Pokémon.
This is an example run I recorded to show what the game is like for the people who haven't seen it. Pushing the in-game time as low as possible would be cool to see too.
I've been waiting for more than a month and I still don't have any sort of reply about this. I really want to know what the mods think about this hack as a speedgame.
The game is labeled as a ROM Hack, but not as a SM64 ROM Hack. Usually when you click over the "ROM Hack" text (where the red circle is), it sends you to the SM64 ROM Hack List, like Super Mario Star Road, for example. However this hack doesn't. I think this should be easy to fix.
Also, why is THIS hack part of the "Secondary" ROM Hack Series? What does this secondary part even mean? Why is this hack not part of the "Main" ROM Hack series? It's like people don't deem this hack as important as the other "Main" hacks. It kind of feels disrespecful towards my boy Waluigi and his taco stand tbh
The current cover is literally just a low quality screenshot of gameplay captured via composite video. It isn't even the game's title screen. I suggest we replace it with this screenshot of the title screen I took via MAME:
Look I know the current cover showcases the fanfare skip and all that but for people who are new to this game they'll get confused wondering why such a screenshot is the cover in the first place. It doesn't leave the best 1st impression. This legendary game needs to be presented better and so the cover for this game should be better as well.
Reviving this ancient thread to bring the news to yall: The Nickelodeon Plug & Play, including Kash Dash is now able to be emulated from start to finish via MAME.
I do believe this matter should be discussed again given this new development. I do agree that real hardware and emulator should be separated.
Just wanted to let you all know about this.
Good evening, I want to request B3313, otherwise known as SM64 Internal Plexus. Logo: v0.7 is currently the most up to date version of the game (as I'm writing this), so it should be the standard version used for speedruns. The 2 main categories are 30 star and 145 star. Timing usually starts from power on instead of file select. For more information about the current leaderboards, please check out this page on the B3313 wiki: https://b3313.fandom.com/wiki/Speedrun_Leaderboard
My 30 star run of this game:

A few years ago I made a TAS for this game. And it implements many tricks and strategies. Here's the Game Resources page for the game: http://tasvideos.org/GameResources/NES/QBoy.html
Some strategies that could be useful in RTA: -Death Hopping (Frame perfect but cool trick) -Jumping when tired (also frame perfect) -Jumping when shooting -Sliding and Anti-Slipping
Hello. Can the Wii and Wii U VC rereleases be added?
A few moments ago, Nintendo announced that StarTropics was getting released on the Nintendo Switch Online app. Will this rerelease be allowed for runs?
Hello. A couple of years ago, I discovered a glitch that absolutely breaks Challenge Mode. After so much time has passed, I finally recorded a video of the glitch in action.
You have to be on Emerl's story, then intentionally die in the Virtual Training. After that, pause the game and quit. Select challenge mode, and play through it. KO someone and then intentionally die. You'll skip the stage. It's kinda crazy.
Ok, so I made a TAS of this game using the password last night: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/46211363890835690
Maybe someone can look into this further with BizHawk's tools or something?
EDIT:
Ok, so I have a question regarding the password glitch that people use on runs of this game. Is that password really a glitch? Think about it for a second: The password literally translates to "Momoko", a common female name in Japan. So, what if that password was actually left in intentionally by one of the developers, as an easter egg/debug code? Maybe as a reference to one of the developer's relatives or something like that. It's a strange coincidence that a common Japanese name just so happens to let you skip levels.
I dunno, that's just an observation on my end. I don't know what you guys think about it.
Well, now that Derpling's run has been beaten, I think it's ok to finally time to add his run into the leaderboard.
Hello, I made a TAS of this game. I don't know where else to post this, so here ya go.

So Nintendo re-released this game on the Wii U, although I don't if there is any lag differences or anything.
One day, I was playing casually until I couldn't progress through the game due to a glitch or something. I couldn't get out of the area I was in for some reason, and I have no idea why. Here's a video showing what I mean:
There's more info about this in the video's description.
