You can use all characters except for glitched characters. Master Hand. Giga bowser etc

SAR hasn't been made for Portal Revolution as far as i know. We need to wait for the speedrun community to make it
Yeah it does seem to be the new code called (Required: General Code) that creates the bug. We are planning on keeping Slippi emulators fast loading times for other categories however. Our current plans is to use an older version of Slippi. Our current look is version 1.1.3 on the Slippi Project Github page ->Link<-as that one to my knowledge and testing doesn't have the bugs i listed above but still keeps the fast loading times.
Only issue is we don't know if we should allow all Slippi versions without the character spawn bug or just stick to a singular version of Slippi like 1.1.3. Thing is also we don't really have a way to verify if that specific version is being used other than looking at where the NPCs spawn. At least to my knowledge
Did some more testing and no. No it doesn't. 1.1.3 does not have quicker loading times. Oops
Tried to do some testing on another older version of slippi dolphin. 2.1.0 and it still has the same bugs. Yeah we are stuck again figuring out what to do now
Not at the moment. Think the moderators are currently working on rules and categories. Not sure how the mods will announce when you can submit runs. If you see rules describing when you start and end a run. It's fair to say you are allowed to submit runs.
Also needless to say i am not a moderator for portal but usually there is a post in News saying the leaderboard is open. (Actual mods here can confirm or deny if they will do that or not tho)
Ohh. I see. I tried to use the glitch to fly into the loading zone above. I didn't think of the fact you can just take the elevator still and use the glitch for the other stages xD.
Yeah that becomes kinda saddening then if most if not all stages end up with CFG. So i get the argument.
I assume there won't be a rule for just not preserving CFG through levels either? I guess it would be similar to a no CFG category. Well i am excited to see what the rules become and i am exited to try speedrunning portal again with the new mod :D. Wish the moderators and the community best of luck in finding something that works <3
How is CFG broken in this game exactly? I'm not a pro runner at all but i have only found 2 uses for it. One before the long elevator in chapter 2 and one to skip the 3rd button in final boss
Just wanna add an update as well. to the difference between 50 and 60 Hz. Apparently. 50 Hz makes you walljump higher because of a frame that makes you turn around mid walljump animation
I mean depends on what you mean by reasonable but i guess Ebay or Amazon. However i don't know how it is where you live. But we in Norway have this site called Finn where you can sell and buy products inside your country. So if you have something similar. Try using that.
For some reason the trick doesn't work anymore. Something to do with you getting a bigger walljump. But no clue how.
Still possible tho. Just don't do the triangle attack
Pretty easy glitch. Just press the Triangle button when you pass the white line and hold X. You don't have to attack like i did in the video
