Gaming, PC builds and repair. I recently learned the basics on electronics, sometimes I like to tinker with stuff I won't use anymore (better to use it to improve my skills and learn than to just toss it in the bin :P).

Well, as a very new speedrunner ("wanna be" at this moment :P ) I chose Resident Evil 3 just to challenge myself as it's probably my most played game of all time. Saw a WR speedrun on Youtube ( - hope it's ok to link, still new to the forums...) and thought if I could do a speedrun might as well be of this game. And here I am, just trying to get a decent time for the leaderboards as a non competitive speedrunner (at least for now, one step at a time....)

Thank you! Well, I just finished it again on the Mediakite version so I could get rid of the pesky tutorial files, and got a really good time considering i forgot the blue gem and had to backtrack all the way to the R.P.D. 1h04m53s, very encouraging! :D

I'm Sam, a 26 year old (soon to be 27) gamer from Portugal who never thought to dwelve in speedruns. Alas, I was replaying Resident Evil 3 on my Dreamcast when I went to Youtube and out of curiosity searched for the WR run (I completed the game everyday when I was young, and my best time was 3h15m collecting everything at the age of 13). So, after being blown away, I decided to challenge myself and try it. Read some advice on getting started, did a practice run with saves, and got a final time of 1h13m10s on the PC English version (with 8 saves and a lot of deaths inbetween...).

So, hopefully I can get to know the community as I hear a lot of good things and just maybe get close to those top times! :D
