1.2 saves more time in any category that doesn't involve baseball or boxing (except categories that end after 1 boxing match like All Sports and ASNB). 1.2 is probably the smarter version to get these days rather than 1.0, you can compete in All Sports with both 1.2 and 1.0 for sub 7, but if you're over 10 seconds behind the record, you can still improve your skill with 1.1 before needing to buy another version.
There are categories of 510mph winds on the Storm Island page: https://www.speedrun.com/wsrsi
How would handle menuing and a button presses? (For VS screens, starting a new frame in bowling etc)
The lack of a reset button means that all of that 1 second maybe of load saves is evened out with being forced to reset with the home button as opposed to a reset button, it really doesn't matter in this game. Even in categories that do not require resetting, the difference isn't as great as the removal of a full cutscene.
In very very basic terms, less cutscenes and less lag.
The discord link still works, it's underneath the follow button.
Yeah I was just thinking about this yesterday but I'll add one later on. This leaderboard is fairly new so I haven't figured out all the stuff yet, but good shout.
That would just be an IL, and I don't think the mods are keen on having ILs for sports
How to tell version differences 1.00 = No Remote Jacket + 2006 only on title screen (and a bunch of other differences in the games) 1.01 = Remote Jacket + 2006-2007 on title screen (also with in game differences) 1.02 = Has Remote Jacket + 2006-2008 on title screen, same as 1.01 in game but is part of the Wii Sports + Wii Sports Resort Combo Disc
What about something like an All Sports Any%? That could be a way to incorporate things such as 2P Tennis, Baseball and Boxing as mentioned since they are incredibly consistent, and I think it would be a lot more fun and good practice for the 1P Sports in a run setting when you don't have to rely on the RNG heavy minigames. As long as you finish each minigame anything is fair game. Always puzzled me why there was never a true Any% category.
