Thank you Ben, that second option with the switch out versions was actually helpful. I wasn't sure if it would work due to steam being a dumdum, but having both folders .set file saved aswell and switched out is like playing the game where you left off it's so relieving! So this way I can have as many versions as I want basically, it's great. And my previously modded game version was not lost either, ah so GOOD! =DD
Hi, my question would be the following: Is it possible to have 2 versions of GTA VC on a PC? One steam version and one seperate folder for modding etc.
I have the seperate folders, it's just a matter of how can I start the seperate folder's game without getting the "Unhandled exception: c0000005" error message. Having the game modded, unmodded, converted into JP working perfectly inside the steam folder, but as soon as I want to open a backup folder it doesn't open up.
I looked up different solutions but non of them seemed to work (DEP is unchanged so it shouldn't affect, deleted what the documents/GTA folder contained aswell) but little to no success.
I have a dumb idea right now that I'll try but may not work since it's on the same PC, but making another profile so I should have 2 instances which probably would allow me 2 copies of the game (?). I may be dumb about that, but that's the reason I wanna solve the problem without having too much trouble and the reason I'd like to require your help or input about my situation.
Thank you in advance!
