Can you add a category for Dalgarian dungeon runs in sandbox mode?
Hector kill is nice but since it requires going through the entire crystal hunt first phase, it's a pretty slow category.
It would be nice to have one solely dedicated to killing Hector as fast as possible.
Because running that category would have to be interesting in itself. I honestly can't see the point in running that. But maybe that's just me...
Honestly I would just add a rule to ban story segments from runs. It's an extra and completely unnecessary RNG element which, to make matters worse, requires a lot of setup, as you have to max out the characters' upgrades without ever watching any story segment, and then make your run from that save. Nope.
Yes, the enemy layouts are always the same. You can probably learn them all by heart to optimize your pathing but that will take a while... But it's nothing compared to how much time you save by getting an extra shop, which makes you skip a room like in Hades. The time saved is just huge and I'm honestly not sure I want to deal with that kind of RNG. I don't want to end up like Minecraft speedrunners XD
- The style system isn't very complex, you can just do A -> B -> A -> B and get as many style points as if you were doing A -> C -> A -> B or C -> A -> B -> C, etc.
- Room signs with petals around them are twice as long as the others.
- You'll always get at least 1 challenge and 1 fountain per level, but the extra shop seems to be RNG. If you don't get it, you might as well just reset.
- There seems to be a glitch that triggers an infinite combo when hitting at least 2 enemies at once. I got it with Pancho and Qaru, but haven't found a way to be consistent with it.
I think the rules should be updated to only disallow story segments, as the only way to have this consistently is to manipulate save files like you suggested.
I don't know if it's the easiest world record ever, but it's definitely one of the shortest lived ^^ I'm not sure the moderator of this game is still active, so let's try to improve each other's times :)
I saw this on the Minecraft leaderboards, which change depending on which category you run. How do you do this? I didn't find the option for it...
New to the community, although not very new to speedrunning. Finally decided to sign up here to manage a new speedrunning community around The Light Brigade, a new VR Rogue-Lite game recently released on Steam and Quest 2. We're hoping to give more visibility to VR gaming and encourage people to start speedrunning more VR games :) See you around!
