Hi everyone,
Given the changes and slight rebalancing that occured in the Wave 3 patch, is it going to impact every "Items" speedrun currently made on the leaderboards ? Either in the form of a filter, a different category to differentiate updates or a leaderboard reset ?
Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well
I've been wanting to get serious on the game for quite a while now and one thing I can't wrap my head around is the game speed.
How do you differenciate 1.0x from 1.2x exactly and what causes the speed difference ? Could anyone tell me what game speed I'm running based of this video ?
Side question : I'm running under Wine 'cause I use Linux, is it okay ? Doesn't look like there's any issue aside for some graphical but I'm hardly knowledgeable ?
Thanks in advance for the kind answers :)
It is a great day for the analog nation today. No more will they be made fun of for not being able to U-Turn.
What you need to do : While jumping, hold the following :
R1 or L1 + Square Left Analog : Hold Left or Right Right Analog : Hold forward.
You should be able to hold forward on the right analog and press square with the same finger. So there you have it, easy as pie.
Just like GBC and PC, the game is entirely something else on the Dreamcast version than what you can see on the PS1 version. Since PC and PS1 were also separated despite the very minor differences. I suggest Dreamcast version gets it's own category too. For reference : Dreamcast : PS1 :
Bow down runners and TASers before your new queen
Hi ! I'd like to talk about some stuff about CTR's speedruns
First, I'd like to point out a mistake in MAX% rules which state this : "Timing starts upon gaining control of your character after the first loading screen and ends upon crossing the finish line of the final race against Nitrous Oxide after finishing all the category's requirements." The run doesn't end upon crossing the finish line of the final race againist Nitrous Oxide, but after crossing the finish line of the final race of the final cup. Doesn't matter which cup though.
The next point I want to talk about is the case of Penta. I've been thinking about it a lot of time. He is a character that's only unlockable by a cheat code. And as far as I remember, cheat codes are strictly forbidden in speedrun. Also, he is the only character with perfect stats (Full speed/acceleration/Turn.) except in american version (Low speed, medium Acceleration, full Turn.). So I'd like to debate with you guys to get an official statement about if we should allow or ban Penta for MAX% and All cups
(I'm personally for ban him considering the point mentioned above)
Hi there ! =D/ I was wondering if there was any way to change my nickname on the website (via an option, a request, etc...) For a few reasons. I'd like to rename myself as "Karlie".
Well. I guess that's all so, thank you in advance for the answer ^^ Keep the good job on this site guys ! =)
