oooooopsie, thank you for checking. That's a good excuse to improve it though
Dunno if this is already known but there's a speedrun timer in the game already. It pauses for cutscenes and loads. Would love to see that allowed in the rules since it would simplify running without livesplit and put people with different load times on an even playing field. (It's also just a more consistent method than starting/finihsing by hand)
Just to clarify, full game runs don't need to be from a fresh file right? Because if so there's a lot of little cinematics of unlocking each path on the map that loses time to a finished file
I think with the current rules your run would fall under the fastest applicable category which would be console True Ending?
There's a bounce you can also do straight from where I landed to the barrels that propels you in the right direction as well. Just hasn't been done in a run yet
Just letting you know, unless they've turned it off in their account settings, literally everyone who follows carrion is getting pinged each time you reply here
Hollow Knight runs use an autosplitter with Livesplit. It takes out all of the loading time between rooms and puts people with different computers on an equal playing field. To my knowledge the mods won't accept the in game timer and will just time the length of the video if you're not using livesplit, which will be much slower. Here's a guide on how to get it set up: https://www.speedrun.com/hollowknight/guide/cg9vl
