How feasible would it be for a World 6 First route that collected the Jet Run 2 badge using OOB to be implemented in Any%? I've been theory-crafting this since the Jet Run badge is fastest for All Royal Seeds and 100% but I don't know if the World 6 OOB glitch will allow access to that area of the map.

Now that Carpetless has become semi-RTA Viable, I've been theorycrafting some routes that will allow it to be done earlier into the run, and I can only think of 3 viable options. All other Rainbow Ride early routes would lose so much to castle movement that the timesave from Carpetless would be essentially nullified.

I'm not an expert on routing, but luckily Circumark has already tested all three of these routes, so I know what the timeloss will be.

Rainbow Ride 103:

Route is the same until Tippy.

Perform RR first, with Carpetless as the first star and 120 + Cruiser Cannon as the 2nd. Then do TTC and Cloud Stage.

This is the only way to do Carpetless early with essentially no castle movement timeloss: Circumark timed this route to be 1.4 seconds slower with regular movement and .13 slower with advanced movement.

However, this route still requires Carpetless to be performed over an hour into the run.

Carpetless can also be done with 100 Coin to save an additional 3.2 seconds but I don't believe this will be done RTA since it's a much riskier 100 coin route than 100 + Cruiser Cannon, and doing Carpetless immediately afterward will cause a lot more nerves.

Rainbow Ride 74 (or Tippy Early):

Route is the same until upstairs

Perform Wilko Clip to enter Tippy, do RR first, then TTC and Cloud Stage.

Quit out of Cloud Stage to re-enter Lobby, go back upstairs and complete the rest in standard order.

Perform Wilko Clip a second time to enter Tippy and then go to BITS (16 Star Movement)

Cool Cool Mountain can also be done after Tippy with hardly any timeloss because of the quit out to lobby.

This route allows Carpetless to be done much earlier but has the potential to lose a lot to castle movement: according to Circumark it loses 12.9 seconds to a standard no-Wilko clip run and 20 seconds to a standard Wilko clip run, which is what most top runners have as their PB right now.

SBLJ Route (or Rainbow Ride 5):

Perform LBLJ to enter Dark World, collect 8 red coins and defeat Bowser.

Enter Basement, perform SBLJ to enter Dire Dire Docks, collect 100 + Reds and Sub, enter Fire Sea, collect 8 red coins and defeat Bowser.

Enter Upstairs, perform Wilko Clip to reach Tippy, do RR with Carpetless first, quit out of RR and do the rest of the route same as before.

Circumark timed this route to be 17 seconds faster than a standard run, which means that it's about 13 seconds slower than RR 74 and 33 seconds slower than RR 103. But that's also with perfect SBLJ, which is unlikely to happen; perfect bomb Carpetless, which saves a few seconds over RTA viable Carpetless setups; and two perfect Wilko clips. Otherwise, the timesave is almost nothing.

I don't believe SBLJ route is viable: 120 Star runners do not want to do SBLJ in runs and this route forces them to do a ton of hard stars like Salt Cannonless and JRB Framewalk much later in the run. Not to mention, having to do an entire run after landing Carpetless will be too much for the nerves.

In my opinion, the only viable RR early routes are RR 74 and RR 103. RR 103 will probably be what most runners go for, since it loses no time, but I can also see some runners going for RR 74 since Carpetless still saves 30 seconds even with the castle movement timeloss.

Category Rules: Collect all the presents from an existing file as fast as possible. Timer starts as soon as you begin the first level "Movement" and ends as soon as you collect the final present in "Streak". Run is timed RTA, just like All Main Missions.

I'm petitioning this category so that there is at least one more main board category besides All Main Missions, and because variety is nice.

This category has some really cool and unique movement, and overall isn't as punishing as All Main Missions is (at least with the current strats that I've theorized as being optimal).

However, there is one glaring issue with the category: it is extremely difficult to set up. You have to create a new game, then play through all the levels in the demo every time you want to play this category, since the presents can only be collected once per file, and can't be collected when you first play through the demo.

Despite this, I believe it would be a worthy addition to the main board, and provide an oasis for runners that are looking to escape the difficulty of All Main Missions.

Is the demo gone for anyone else? I opened up my game to try and play it again and all I saw was a button that said "purchase". I also saw on the Discord that they were extending the demo period by one more week as of February 28th.

If this is it for the demo then it's the best possible timing for me: I just got an amazing PB this morning that I was super happy with. Little bummed out that I won't be able to practice for when the full game comes out but I guess I'll just have to hope I don't get rusty.
