I've only seen your thread now. I don't have the map in front of my eyes, but there might be something to it. Imo brakes the spring and reduces the overall speed. But since the game is pretty much untested, it could be a good option to test.

I don't know how to unlock "Super Cup". But this mode exists and is officially in the game (the intro text speaks of an official event)

I have therefore added this as a level. As there are already existing runs in the "All Cups" category, I have excluded "Super Cup" from this. Super Cup is therefore only available as a level.

I have also added the category "All Tracks". This includes Super Cup! However, the tracks can be driven in Cup mode or without Cup mode. (Please add up the in-game timers)
