Hey guys sorry for a delay, haven't been following much speedrun stuff lately. Basically emu was banned for not having any documentation or footage or anything at all (this was years ago). I'm not against it and say go ahead and play, record, do runs on emu and we can make space for it!

A few things we figured a few years ago (all of this unsubstantiated chatter),

  1. There was no proof/timings the DLC relics really saved much time, and with there only being like 5 runs which I don't think any of them used the DLC relics? we thought meh and added the tab so that we could say which runs had them, but if it came to the point one DLC relic was a considerable advantage, definitely would be changed. And

  2. I had the same thing with the RTA/IGT being backwards from what you expect, it makes no sense to me. Maybe with emulator someone can tell us how the IGT actually works? maybe its just total shite lmao.

All of this stuff can be changed I think the boards should reflect the current player base so feel free to chat here or better, in the discord, since that's usually where I check daily and there are others in there that may not check SRC forums and have good input.

Thanks for the interest in the game, It's one of my favorites and always made me sad to see so little respect for it in the speedrun community.

Hey thanks for inquiring, it is nice to see this game get some attention again lately. First off I apologize but I haven't been putting any time into speedrunning for the past while, I'm eager to get all these issues cleared up though. Basically emulator was "banned" because there was just so little information about it, I had personally never seen it run or got an xbox or ps3 emulator running myself so we kinda just said no use worrying about timings or anything. It has been a few years and honestly if anybody wants to figure out emulator stuff I say go right ahead and we can make space for it. Personally I always wanted to get a deeper look at some in-game mechanics and savestates could be great to practice somethings.

Im on discord alot more than I check src if you use that, join the server thats in the sidepanels. I'm always down for discussion and changes of stuff, the boards should reflect the current player base.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean (but i also play on n64 and am not very good at gim Kappa) but the forums here on src are not that active, all the activity is in the discord server which is linked on the left of the screen. You'll get a faster more accurate response if you ask in the any% channel

You'll get more responses if you ask in the discord (link is on the left) and if possible, provide a video it doesn't have to be good quality you can prop your phone up and aim at your TV. If you just walk into the warp and he doesn't stay in the ocarina animation that means you either missed it entirely or you were just to slow at getting OI and I'm not really sure what you mean in your first comment, doesn't really make sense that you walk away from the warp after successful OI and just get sent back into it.

Just letting the mods know that javascripts world record time in morpha RTA (as Child) ends time on enter blue warp which is wrong as the rules state for all the boss RTAs (as Child), timer ends on first frame of death cutscene for (boss). Javascripts time should be 19:16

This is max child bosses ( Any input on the name is highly appreciated I'm thinking, Max Bosses As Child ) It could even potentially be added to boss RTA (as child) under the Max filter. I also have a route document with all the essential details. Ruleset Goal: Defeat All Possible Bosses As Child Link And Gain Their Respectable Stone / Medallion From Source Timing starts: File Select Of A New File Timing ends: The First Frame Of The Ganon Death Cutscene Restrictions: None

ahhh ive never played the psp version but i haven't heard the best of things about it at least in comparison to the console release

There is an xbox360 emulator called xenia and one for PS3 called RPCS3. I have never tried either but i think there's information on what games run well on both emus. As far as I know, they are both under heavy development and are updated frequently so some features are missing as well as some things not working properly. It may be worth it to test out these emulators with Dante's Inferno but as of now I don't have any plans to. If emulator is a viable way to play the game we can add Emu as a platform.

Right now in the new Dante's Inferno Speed running Discord ( Link has been added to the side panel. ) were discussing possible rule-sets for the Glitchless category along with the possibility of adding the 4 difficulties as filters.

Xbox One has added backward compatibility and I plan on running the game on the console it would be great to have it as a platform option. I submitted the run under Xbox 360 but we can cancel that and resubmit later if Xbox One is added.
