Survival is probably runnable; I have some ideas for strategies. If we did add a category, what wave# do you think would be appropriate? My gut says finish 5 waves (reach wave 6), as such a category would be long enough to be interesting but short enough to avoid being a chore.
To make timing consistent for Horde Mode, we'll be instituting a new timing method. When you reach the required wave, look at the time in the top right of the screen. Subtract that from 15 minutes and you'll have your time. For instance, if your time shows 12:00 remaining upon hitting wave 11, you'll know that the time you submit is 3:00. This also means that we will not be using milliseconds for Horde mode.
I will be retiming every Horde Mode run in a few minutes to reflect these new rules.
Would people want to see horde mode speedruns added to the leaderboards? We could have separate categories for 2 players, 3 players, or 4, as well as for different targets, such as completing 5 waves, 10, 15, 20, 25, etc., as fast as possible.
Ideally, you get a sword as your first weapon. For sub 0:50, it's a necessity. For some reason, your weapon is tied to your spawn position: if you spawn in the 2nd or 4th spot (starting counting from the left), you'll get a sword, while the 1st and 3rd spots give a hammer. You can test this out yourself. I've only tested it on PC, it might not be true on other platforms. This does, however, mean that your chances in level 3 of getting good RNG are higher than we thought, as the best spawn position (4th) is paired with the best weapon (sword). I don't think weapon spawn location is tied to any of that, though.
I finally acquired the PC version of this game. Its run would not be significant, so I am removing the category from this game.
Hello, The 3DS game plays totally differently from PC; could we possibly get a separate category for 3DS?
The three tutorial levels are perfect for running, perhaps even better than tournament mode. I am far from the first person to suggest adding this category (ImLogic, you did so yourself a year ago), but I think it would be a great addition, especially with the additional attention this game's speedrun page is now getting.
It seems I actually submitted my most recent run in the wii category instead of PC. Sorry. Is there any way to fix that, or should I resubmit?
Title. The retro world is in the game now, it's time to start running it. Can a mod please add retro world to the level leaderboard?
Look. We all know mission 3 is incredibly unreliable. I can reliably finish with some speed mission 1 75% of the time, mission 2 90% of the time. I don't know about you, but I get an even half-decent mission 3 less than 5% of the time. Therefore, I propose a 66% category, finishing missions 1 and 2 together. As a mod, I could put this category in immediately, but I want to hear from you (basically just from Quaintt); should I make this category?
