As someone currently looking into the Any% potential routes and 100%'s definition being up in the air with secrets being found left and right, I wanted to present a category that has more depth than I expected.

Gun% and Gun% spell less

The categories names imply that the goal is to gain the gun as fast as possible, however the means of gaining this has 2 extremely interesting routes as of my current discoveries

Gun% normal is a run I have completed in 4:07 in which you use the fire bomb and normal bomb spell to forge a path to the mountain and ending it with 1 health. I have a recorded video of this if this thread is taken note of.

Gun% spell less is a far more dynamic one with a time around 11 minutes, however due to the inconsistency of the tricks, I have not been able to gain a run that successfully picks up the gun. The route involves using enemies to forge a path to the beach, going to [redacted], gaining orb, opening the pathway to the mountain, and finally attempting to gain the gun on 1 health again without a decoy unlike gun% with spells.

Although this category is ridiculous, and that you never have an actual weapon throughout it, it is a really fun category to run!

Edit: it has been brought to my attention with a flame charm, the stick can be used in a similar way, so spell less would likely also be weaponless due to that it removes the interesting route? Depends on how the category gets split

I'm not sure I understand why you need a firebomb to get to the mountain. Maybe I'm missing something, but I was able to get to the mountain with this route:

This is a fair method, which is actually what i was referring to in my edit part of my post for why the longer more interesting route would need to exclude stick as well!

Fire bomb is used as a faster alternative as you can skip stick collection and fire collection leading to a faster time! By using the fire bomb from the spell to break down the small trees (being the only roadblock to mountain) it achieves the same result in less time!

Edit: Also incase it was unclear, the normal bomb is used for a 3 flower pattern on the path down quarry, which allows access to decoys that can be used to avoid snipers

I would honestly run this category. I've got a really fast route in mind!
