I mainly speedrun during road trips so i have to pause a lot for various reasons. Also I run on an iPhone 7 so my load times are very slow compared to someone running on an iPhone 13 Pro or an iPad Pro 2022. I suggest either each runner does a manual retime or the moderators do it instead at the cost of longer verification time.
Also I got 1:23 iOS WR LETS GOOOOO
Pausing mid-run should not be allowed in RTA runs, including reasons of being on a road trip. You can reference speedrun posts or blogs about this topic and the majority believe pausing provides an advantage and should be counted within the run timer. Otherwise, it would become segmented run or Time Attacked TA runs. https://www.speedrun.com/speedrunning/thread/1oate/1#ru9ip
No, pausing shouldn't be allowed in RTA runs.
As someone who runs several games that are 16+ hours long, I lost time whenever I took a break to do something outside of the game. That is how it should be.
Regardless of how you want to see it, being able to rest and not "lose" any time is an advantage, so there would never be a point of doing a long run in one sitting, then. Why do it one sitting, when you could rest and do the last 8+ hours as refreshed as the first 8 hours?
Also also we always been counting time with load regardless of devices model and different load speeds, switching to times without load cause huge resource and whole leaderboard rearchitect. You can feel free to count time without loads for yourself. Thank you
