Forgot to make announcement but board is actually unlocked. There aren't many changes, we just had some tiny issues with intercept RTA. We decided to make intercept use IGT instead due to the inconsistencies with the start frame. Anyways sorry for inconvenience and have fun speedrunning.

Hello all and welcome to the Season 0 of The First Descendant Speedruns!

Rules

Before you get started, please read through our Rules and Guidelines. Please be aware that there will also be a category specific rule and timing standards inside each category, please check them out before submitting runs.

Timing Standards

Infiltration Operation

For Season 0, we are using in-game timer for Infiltration Operations, meaning the end mission result screen must be shown after the run, within the same video.

Void Intercept

For a media explanation, refer to Void Intercept Timing Standards

• Timer starts on boss vulnerability (a health bar is appearing).

• Timer ends on boss death (health bar disappearing).

• Timer is not paused for any wipe screens.

How to Submit

1. Make an account on speedrun.com

2. Click on "Submit Run" under the category you want to submit for.

3. Select Solo or Co-op

4. Input player names. Skip this step if you are submitting a solo run, the player name should automatically be there.

5. Input your run time. If you aren't sure how to frame count for accurate void intercept run times, you can input in-game time, and we will retime it to RTA for you.

6. Input your video URL link.

7. Input update version number and season number. Season 0 should be selected by default. If no version matches yours, click on the edit icon on the right and input your value.

8. Select run date and platform that you ran on.

9. If you would like to put a description or any additional notes for the verifiers, go ahead and type it in.

Looking to Become A Verifier?

Verifier application will always remain open until further notice. If you would like to apply, head to #application channel in our Discord and fill in the questions in DM. We previously wanted experienced verifiers to help us, but right now you can apply with 0 experience in verifying runs. We will provide resources and train you to become a valid speedrun.com verifier, but do make sure you have a PC, not a console, for verification purposes.
