So, with the Ninji's apparently ending after the twentieth one, coming soon, I wanted to gauge whether or not there would be interest in a category that is essentially run all twenty Ninji Speedrun Levels back to back. I'm not sure if this would be main category or category exentsion if this took off.
Basic rules: Time starts on hitting "Play" for the first Level. Time ends on the goal of twentieth level completed. Level order does not matter so long as all twenty levels are completed.
Thoughts?
https://www.speedrun.com/smm2/thread/lcww3 but yeah i also think it would be cool a speedrun of "all the levels" if we ignore that every time new levels come up idk about the number exact because the will no add a new category for every level lol also, probably when there is a CE is because the main leaderboard is just for the actual categories and every new one is added in the CE
I agree that now that this Ninji series is reaching a conclusion, it is possible to run all ninjis as a full-game run, letting a board add additional value over Nintendo's own individual Ninji boards.
Even though Nintendo has leaderboards too, speedrun.com could do it better. Video proof, view certain times, CE (like all 20), etc.
Yeah, one thing I want to clarify is that I did see Romain's post that there'd be no tracking for the Individual Ninjis. My idea is for a category is all 20 Ninjis, not any of them individually.
Since I came up with a thread for this before seeing this existing thread; I copy here my rule proposal for this category:
Rule proposal:
-
Levels must be run top to bottom in reversed published order (it makes sense to do it this way as to not lose time going up and down the menu and it makes it easier for moderators to check the run)
-
Timing starts when you hit "Ninji Speedruns" from the main menu or when you hit "Play" on first level (last level published: Bowser's Castle: The last dash) - up for debate.
-
Timing ends when you hit the flag for the last level (first level published, Rolling snowballs)
-
Player must obviously complete all 20 levels in the proposed order. No level skipping or level re-ordering allowed.
