How to reset SMB on Switch for Any%?

Hello,

I did a run for SMB1 that was rejected and would like some help figuring out how to not make the same mistake. This was the reason for the rejection "Rejected: Please include the reset to title screen in the video" I'm relatively new to speedrunning so I don't fully understand everything I'm supposed to do. I'm playing on the Switch Online and hit the two triggers and reset the game. Is that not allowed? Do I need to back fully out of the game to reset? Do I need video of my hands doing the inputs as I reset? I found another Switch user do the same as I and it got accepted so I'm not really sure what I should do. Anyway, any help would be much appreciated.

Loafofbred no I did not use that. I think my resetting somehow made it not work.

The reset was good, I don't understand why did it get rejected. I did the same for my 5:05 run and it didn't get rejected. Maybe DM the verifier and ask him

you need to show the reset by going into the menu thing and hit reset game or something like that

Again, DM the one who verified it for further information

Wolfattak I certainly am going to DM the verifier. Sometimes the video skips or pauses so maybe it was missed? Anyway thank you all for the responses.
