Hey guys, I'm learning the any% run and the acid Nemmy fight gives me a hard time. Is it really worth fighting him using only the acid valves or using the GL is fine enough?

It all depends on if you mind wasting like 20+ seconds between the fight itself and crafting the ammo for it, compared to knife strat which is faster overall.

For runs over 44 minutes that shouldn't be an issue.

Hey. It depends on the time you want to reach. Maybe taking powder, combining them to make freeze rounds, combining the powder to the GL may take more time if you want to speed. I prefer knife because it is challenging, fast and you don't need to lose time combining powder etc.

The best tactic is the knife tactic, because you don't have to collect grenade launcher ammo or create new ones. It's done for this reason. You would waste several seconds creating or collecting ammo. This then depends on what times you want to do, GL tactic is more safe but you lose more time for the reasons written above

I would totally bet on the knife tactic, not only because of the time savings, but also because when that battle comes it represents an exciting personal challenge. Do it however you enjoy it most.
