I just had this soft-lock happen to me on the basement stairs i managed to hit action on the stairs before the camera transition or as it was happening , is this common knowledge?

Ive had that one myself dchaps when i used to play the PC version. i only had it when i had FMV's enabled.

Yeah I have had the same as DChaps. Only once though and it had to be a race.

That has happened to me twice on PS3 and PS1 Biohazard... both times on the staircase in the sewer entrance

It appears to be an issue with how the emulator is handling data streaming.

If the game loads a camera transition as you're unloading an area, generally a console would just dump the data, but the emulator is having trouble discarding the assets.
