If you manage to store 30million points by Simulated Mission 40 you get the "real" combat missions. Unfortunately points reset on full death, so its basically a 1CC clear to get that. Also the game name is really stupid, but the gameplay is solid. Not sure why there are so many ships when they seem to be very samey in how they play.
