Can i make an attachment for the drill that holds the pencil instead of putting the pencil in the drill? also am i able to modify the drill in other ways. Doesn't mention anything about it in the rules
How about an attachment for the drill that holds the sharpener, and holding the pencil in hand, would that be mounting of the sharpener and therefore not allowed?
I tried this and its not easy to hold the pencil so maybe not even a good strategy, but wanted to see what people think.
@Ultra64 I'm reading the rules and that's not what they say. Here's the rule:
Neither the pencils nor the sharpener can be mounted or attached to anything that is not a part of your body or, in a Drill run, the drill you are using for the run.
Reordered for clarity with the assumption of a Drill run:
Neither the pencils nor the sharpener can be mounted or attached to anything that is not a part of your body or the drill you are using for the run.
So based on the wording, in a drill run the drill is counted as a valid mounting/attachment location for both the pencils and the sharpener. But there's nothing that clarifies whether or not the pencil/sharpener has to be directly mounted/attached to the drill. Could an adapter of some kind be used, or does the pencil or sharpener have to be directly in the drill's chuck? What about making a custom single-blade sharper?
@itsjohannawren Thanks for pointing this out, from what I remember we changed up the rules slightly since that response was posted so it is slightly different now. Again thanks for pointing this out, if you have any other questions please feel free to Dm or Drop a forum with your question. And happy running!
