Hello all,
We're sure you've heard about the troubling news from Twitch by now. Anyone who has more than 100 hours of Highlights saved on Twitch, will have anything going over that limit automatically removed on April 19th. This means that if you've submitted Twitch highlights on Speedrun.com in the past, there is a chance your videos will disappear on that date.
-
⚠️From now on, Twitch videos are no longer accepted for new submissions. Please submit YouTube videos for your runs (or if you must, a link to another permanently saved video).
-
If you can, please take some time to go through this spreadsheet to find out which of your runs have Twitch videos. Use CTRL + F to search for your name on each tab. There are currently 922 PBs on the main board with Twitch videos!
-
It's most important that you don't lose your footage, so downloading or exporting your videos should have priority over updating SRC right away. In addition, PBs are more important than obsolete runs if you have limited time.
-
When updating your existing runs with a new video, please add
[2025 youtube reupload]
or something along those lines at the end of your run description. Editing your run puts it back in the verification queue, so it can be hard for mods to distinguish edited runs from new submissions. -
Note that verification might get slower for a while, since we're expecting a lot of bulk edits.
-
There are a few handy tools available which might help to download/sort out your highlights (created by other communities):
We really hope we can save as much OoT speedrunning history as possible!
