The main difference between this route and the old one is that instead of going through 2-3 after 2-2, you now go through 2-A, which, after taking everything into consideration, is around 6 seconds faster. Because 2-A costs 5 star coins to access, we now have to collect 15 coins instead of 10. The following coins are the ones that lose the least amount of time. You can collect these coins or use some of the alternates instead. Just make sure to have at least 5 coins before reaching the levels that require you to buy them (1-A, 2-A, and 3-A). Once you buy 3-A, star coins no longer matter, so don’t worry about collecting them.
