in this world record 2 player 8 phases video, their game freezes at 53.52 until 56.27 = 2.75 seconds

when i play the game it freezes at 53.81 until 56.74 = 2.93 seconds.

why does the game freeze for different durations of time? anyone know what's happening here?

Sounds like a frame rule issue, frame rules in this game probably work similarly to those in Super Mario Bros.
