After about 130 hours with a dps meter, the highest consistent damage without cards vs both mobs and bosses that I've gotten so far is with a charged gun + poison sword build.

Knock them down in GM with a charged shot, then inflict your DoT plus speed debuff in WD, then rinse and repeat or drop a heat nuke.

It's about 8% better sustained dps than the next highest build and about 17% better than the highest build that doesn't use an elemental sword.

edit: and I mention this because for some reason it seems to be more powerful in the port than the original but Ive never used a meter on that version so idk for sure.

What would be "the next highest build" in this situation? And would it really be applicable to speedruns, given what has been possible so far? Are there video comparisons?
