In the single player run (the one I submitted), I saw that the ingame timer still continues at the ending cutscene until the train starts moving at full speed and that's when the ingame timer first stops. This is where I decided to put my time at as it makes the most sense, tho if it was required to have time split, it would make more sense to stop the timer as soon as the cutscene at the ending starts. The second run did have time split but you can see the ingame timer at the end too and the submitted timer on the 2nd run was on when the ending cutscene started. Something is not adding up here.
That is def weird. All speedruns should end when it says "You survived". The in-game timer ends at the same time as that text and that is what usually is usually what is taken for time and thats what is stated in the rules. Seems like an error in the person that submitted not looking at the rules or just plain out forgetting. A mod would need to remedy.
I saw some other speedruns on this website whose using real-time instead of in-game time. But if the rules are in-game. I should reupload the speedruns I made since I did stop my timer on the cutscene not on the "You survived" one.. (I'm new on the speedrun so my apologies if I/We made a mistake). I was even wondering if zed-time is even included on the run which is why it is crucial to use berserker or commando since they make zed-time longer.
It's an error on both the submitter and the moderator that verified it. If you pay close attention, the moderator did correct the submitter that added one extra minute in the time spit timer, but the moderator's oversight was the ending which he didn't correct, either that or he didn't correct mine at the ending of my run.
Sorry I just verified times to the edit them later to the correct time. I'm thinking of taking the IGT of when you use the eye scanner. or just keep it to when it displays the specified text.
edit: If we make the timer end upon utilisation of the eye scanner, all players must remember to manually show their IGT when using the eye scanner. I'll edit all runs after feedback.
