I feel like the amount of runs being posted has gone down significantly and the WR is staying for a while. Most runs I see are like a few months old and its hard to find new runs.

Also I just completed a run the lastest run behind me was 20 days behind.

the game died a long time ago sadly :( It's sad to see it go but it was bound to die from the start. Honestly I'm surprised that there is even still anyone playing the game at all

Personally I don't think I'm able to do anything about the game dying, as I feel like I've already hit my limits in most categories and can't really improve any of my times.

the tas is not dead tho, i have been routing all the categories, and new strats are always being found, you should join the discord(unless you are already in lol) if you want to see new improvements to the tas
