Musou Mode: Cao Cao (Easy) [All Targets Run] Route Guide

• • • Basic Tips - - - *Try to aim correctly to OHKO officers while riding. Learn the mechanics of quickly turning the horse and strafing to fight. *Use horse combat to kill base archers and base corporals. Off-horse attacks should be used for doors and powered officers, but everything else should be on horse. *If your horse can't jump over archer base walls, you will be greatly disadvantaged. Obviously you want max speed on a horse. *A horse with Arrow Dance sounds great for higher difficulties, but it's better to have Musou Spirit and Renbu Gait for lower difficulty runs. Don't worry about the horses that give you extra horses and weapons post-battle since time menuing isn't counted. *Have faith in your comrades to survive and catch up, but help when convenient for you to OHKO. *Use mixed ground attacks (more power moves once renbu increases) to take out doors. *Keep a look out for Tomes that drop and use them on powered-up and final officers. *A weapon with berserk is foolish for high difficulties, but is preferred on lower. Always pick Flash over a few points of attack. *Turn the brightness up on your television. This game is dark sometimes.

Battle 1: Hu Lao Gate (Average Time: 8m 30s) =-=-= TARGET 1: Capture the Center and Northeast Archer Bases in 10 minutes. TARGET 2: Break through one of the gates in 15 minutes. TARGET 3: Kill Lu Bu =-=-=

-Kill Wei Xu and take the West Gate. -Kill Li Meng and take the Central Fort while killing Li Ru. -Kill Gao Shun and take the Central Watchpost. -Take the East Fort and kill Zhang Liao and Jia Xu and then Xu Rong and Fan Chou when they arrive. -Take the Northeast Watchpost -Jump off the southern point of the watchpost. -Take the Hu Lao Gate East Post -Take out all Defence Captains and surrounding officers. Help allies and wait for a ladder to appear on the wall. -Climb up and spawn the horse on the wall by appraching the large area in the middle of it and whistling. -Take out all ballistas and any passerby officers. -Fall back down the wall and help allies until one of the gates is down. *Your physical attacks do nothing against the wall. -Kill Lu Bu, use tomes to help and musou. *The barrel a little north of the south Hulao Gate is an All-Recovery. -Go straight to the enemy main camp, break the door, and kill Dong Zhuo, using any remaining tomes.

Battle 2: Guan Du (Average Time: 1m 20s) =-=-= TARGET 1: Kill Yan Liang or Wen Chou personally. TARGET 2: The gates of Guan Du must not fall. TARGET 3: Bai Ma and Yan Jin must not be captured. =-=-=

-Head straight to Wen Chou and kill him, use starter tome and hope someone drops another. -Head straight to Yuan Shao and kill him, using a tome if possible.

Battle 3: Chi Bi (Average Time: 4m 50s) =-=-= TARGET 1: Take the West Watchpost in 5 minutes. TARGET 2: Take the North Fort and East Fort in 10 minutes. TARGET 3: Maintain 70% of Your HP =-=-=

-Kill Xu Sheng and Xue Zong. -Use the green gong to make the boat move. -Take the West Watchpost (Cao Cao does not have the swim upgrade, so stay on the horse). -Jump over the east side wall of the West Watchpost into the water towards the staircase on the other side. -Take out any officers that are still on that peninsula. -Head straight to Zhuge Liang and kill him. Use a tome. Kill all surrounding officers to help your allies. -Ride East and kill Su Fei. -Ride North and Kill Pan Zhang as you break the door into the East Fort. -Take the East Fort. Your allies should have taken the North Fort already on lower difficulties. -Kill Sun Quan. Use any tomes.

Battle 4: Mt. Ding Jun (Average Time: 5m 40s) =-=-= TARGET 1: Defeat Huang Zhong and Xiahou Yuan survives. TARGET 2: Take Mt. Chi Qi and Mt. Tian Dang in 15 minutes. TARGET 3: None of your units withdraw. =-=-=

*Have faith in your officers, but this battle can kill a run on higher difficulty. -Jump down the mountain and take the Tian Dang South Post. -Kill Liu Feng and Zhang Yi -Rush to kill Huang Zhong and use a tome. -Kill the other officers near Huang Zhong. -Ride towards the Cha Qi East Camp but don't bother taking it. It may already be taken. *The barrel on the way is an All-Recovery. -Use the path west, then north of the Cha Qi East camp. *The barrel on the second elevation/west side of the mountain is an All-Recovery. -Hurry and take Mt. Cha Qi. Once captured, immediately jump down the east side. -Ride towards Gao Xiang and Zhuge Jun on your way to Mt. Tian Dang. -Do your best to kill corporals and officers (besides Liu Bei) in Mt. Tian Dang. Use tomes. -Immediately kill Liu Bei when the base is taken.

Battle 5: Shi Ting (Average Time: 6m) =-=-= TARGET 1: Defeat Ling Tong, Gan Ning, and Xiao Qiao in 10 minutes. TARGET 2: Take West Canyon Watchpost and Shi Ting South Post in 15 minutes. TARGET 3: At least 7 allied officers survive, including Cao Xiu until victory. =-=-=

-Ride to Shi Ting North Post -Kill Sun Lang and break down the door. -Kill Xiao Qiao while taking the North Post. -Ride East and kill Xu Sheng and Ding Feng. -Kill Lu Xun and Ding Feng. -Hurry to Wan Castle and kill Ling Tong, Gan Ning, and all other officers in or near the castle.
-Take the the West Canyon Watchpost -Go back through Wan Castle, jump down to skip taking the gate, then head to pathway in the south. -Take the Shi Ting South Post and rush to Sun Quan, and hope your allies don't die.

Battle 6: Wu Zhang Plains (Average Time: 15m) =-=-= TARGET 1: Kill Guan Ping and Yue Ying personally. TARGET 2: The four river camps and forts must not fall. TARGET 3: 7 allies survive until victory. =-=-= *This battle will always be at least 15 minutes long, as the second objective is literal. -Jump down the cliff and cross the river. -Kill Ma Dai and Li Yan in the East River Fort. -Turn back around and kill Fei Yi and Gao Ding. -Head towards the west camps and kill Zhang Yi. -Jump into the Wu Zhang West Fort and kill Yang Yi. -Go south on the canyon path towards Wu Zhang Southwest Fort. *The barrel in the canyon path is an All-Recovery. -Kill Jiang Wan to save your ally. -Kill Guan Ping in the West Plateau Fort. If you have only one tome, I would save it for Yue Ying, since she has the Juggernauts. -Kill Yue Ying in the East Plateu Fort. *At around the 7 minute mark, the river forts will be ambushed and must be defended again. -Clear up enemies and help allies until the 15 minute mark, where you should be ready to finish off Liu Bei.
