As somebody who loves this game, I thought it would be fun to look up its speedrun page. After seeing your run, I was left in awe. I'm thinking this game might be something I want to give a go at, but could you make some sort of pastebin describing all the information you've gathered so far? There looks to be a lot of intricate setup, and I think it would be nice to generally make this a more beginner-friendly game.
Have not played this game in a while. Pretty much everything that needs be said is in the video's description, but here: http://pastebin.com/iaimMEBx
Are there necessarily any consistency strats for runs in general? I've found that completing a run is very difficult to accomplish, so improving late-game is extremely hard.
Not really, you just die and try again in true roguelike fashion. Not being perpendicular to the ranged/charging vegetable enemies is good, getting out of floor 9 ASAP is necessary because the red baals rock your world, and you need to silence djinn fizz' and far darrigs. Also pray that dredmor doesn't one-shot you the moment he sees you. Not a game where you expect to finish a run.
