Yes, I found a way to "duplicate" some golden carrots. This would be a huge time save in 100%, because it would allow to skip some long golden carrots (or 99 carrots ones).

Would this count as 100% still if you skip some other carrots in other levels? Would this be allowed? I'm worried lol
Edit: I would follow what they do with super mario odyssey, where moon duplication is banned, even tho it's not a glitch in that game...
if you go on to complete the level, which speech does merlin have? does he say you completed the level?
if you complete the game having duplicated some GCs and missed the same amount, does the percentage counter say 100%? If you pick them all up AND duplicate some, does it go over 100%?

You can get 100% without a clock, but if you go to Present World you are not in Pismo Beach:

If you collect all clocks anyway, you get to Pismo beach even if you have some levels where you skipped golden carrots, and other levels where you got some dupes, doesn't matter if you have 334 carrots:
- I didn't get alle the extra golden carrots (I believe you can get 8 dupes), but I guess max% can be a meme category now, I'm happy with my 101% savefile for now LOL
So... duping golden carrots allows you to skip some other long ones, saving like 1-2 minutes in 100% runs. You still have to get all clocks. Duping is hard and can be pretty frustrating. I would be more on the side of banning dupes, such as "we want to get all uniques golden carrots" like they do in Super Mario Odyssey with moons, but I'd like to hear your opinion on that.

Why exactly are you holding the info on how to perform the duplication back, rather than just sharing it? It's an interesting bug.
BTW, I think this probably should be disallowed for 100% runs if it makes it possible to overflow the counter.
There's no reason to be holding back on how to do it, indeed; what bad will it do? If someone decides to use this in runs and it's banned, the run will just be rejected
