Hello,

This is a short post for visibility. Two new moderators have been added to the board: zarc0nis and me. We're going to take over all responsibilities for maintaining the Action 52 (NES) leaderboard.

We are currently going through all existing runs and retiming them and adding millisecond precision. This will ensure all runs have accurate framecounts and will allow further competition with respect to the millisecond precision by requiring optimal screen transition skipping to get better times.

Some run submissions have missing VODs and we are updating those to use the new VOD URLs where we are able. For runs where we cannot locate the VODs we will reach out to the runner(s) in question.

The rules regarding when to start/stop time will also be updated to give precise clarification. Moving forward the start frame will be when the player sprite appears and the end frame will be when the player disappears. The only exception to this will be Fuzz Power because the run ends with the player reaching an impassable wall, in which case a special ending frame will be used for Fuzz Power (which is going to be changed to the frame when the player lands on the tile before the impassable wall rather than requiring a jump as the jump serves no purpose and it would not be clear to the runner that the jump is required without having read the rules).

The aforementioned retimings will all use the frame start/end points I described.

Most of the runs have been retimed but there's still a lot of work remaining so please bear with us.
