You can turn off the timed platforms seen in the Gorgon level and end game, so they just always remain solid, and you don't have to time it. These are the biggest pain in the ass in the run, but I feel like it might add more style too?
I think easy platforms should be allowed going forward because its an in-game setting that anyone can change and it makes the run easier
As someone who's been grinding out runs for this game since release, and currently hold the WR (posting very soon!), I don't think easy platforms should be allowed. I feel like with this run already being fairly straight forward that the timed platforms in the Gorgon stage are a challenging and fun way for runners to demonstrate their movement skills, and it would (for me personally) take a lot of the fun and difficulty out of the run if they could just be disabled.
I've sunk 100+ runs into this game so far, and I'd argue that if anything the most annoying part of the run is getting softlocked and having to full reset. I sort of wish we had a Discord or something where we could more easily share our discoveries and interesting findings within the game with fellow runners, because I've personally found a bunch of skips and optimizations, as well as bugs and quirks that might end up being useful.
I'm not entirely opposed to this change, but I just wanted to share my thoughts and opinions as well. <3
A discord is in consideration, but haven't gotten to it, unfortunately. Maybe soon
Current thought is easy timed platforms allowed for any percent but not individual level runs. So there's opportunity to be stylish with them, but the full game run is more approachable and less irritating.
I think there should be individual level runs with the Easy Hidden Rooms Platforms both enabled and disabled. The run is still interesting and challenging with the platforms enabled.
In terms of Individual Levels, the creepeteria lounge has platforms disappear slower with easy platforms, which for the most part doesn't matter but can slow down getting past the long platforms abit, so that's worth considering too. LMK if any other level platform types are affected.
