Can I pause the timer during loading screens?

When should I start the timer? Right after clicking 'New Game' or only after choosing the character?

probably start at choose the char, and yes pause timer if thats the final boss at the last hit

it's possible to create a script or some kind of auto split setup? (pcsx2) I'm looking for a way to make the timer start and stop automatically, especially at the game's end

not sure someone has to be invested to make it work
