The stream on the front page is autoplaying for me again, not sure if intentional.
It is likely to happen as in a recent survey out of 23 runners voting 20 voted for this category to be added and 3 didn't care. Only 1 person that doesn't run the game voted against it.
Welcome :) See you on November when Sword/Shield comes out!
It would be nice if we could have an option to not show a live stream in the frontpage options or at least prevent it from autoplaying it. I sometimes am on a mobile connection with limited data and I imagine I'm not the only one in this case.

You can find an online version of it here.
Because having both categories makes sense. And for Pokémon speedruns we tend to have the most interesting category as the most visible one.
I'm not sure I get that right. How do you get your values, cause that's not what I have at all for Staryu at level 43.
Based on the formula on Serebii: https://www.serebii.net/letsgopikachueevee/cp.shtml
Staryu with all IVs at 31 has the following stats: HP: 92 ATK: 57 DEF: 65 SPATK: 78 SPDEF: 65 SPD: 91
With the formula I get: (92 + 57 + 65 + 78 + 65 + 91) * 43 * 6 / 100 = 448 * 43 * 6 / 100 = 1155 Or is there something I don't understand? Do wild Pokémon have AVs? I realize I made a mistake in my CPs earlier cause I probably had miscalculated it.
Your IVs aren't the same in all stats, so just based on CPs you can't reliably tell whether the Staryu is good. All you can tell is that the higher the number, the likelier it is the Staryu is good.
Also note the Staryu you get is always level 43 thanks to Lures. If I didn't do a mistake, the CPs go from 952 to 1158.
Edit: Note that I may be completely misunderstanding what you mean.
I made this, but it's far from final, so not adding it to guides yet: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1hZnFvQd9djB0e6rQBqMEJBzozIwExJFp4KwcXy4MBhw/edit?usp=sharing
As I said before, this category is not going to be added to the leaderboards. There is no ground for a category just because you restrict your play style, and I'm afraid this is going to be the case even if many people show interest in this.
But note that nothing prevents you from doing such runs and to maintain a leaderboard yourself on these forums. We are also currently discussion having unofficial leaderboards like this one on the Pokémon Speedrunning Discord, feel free to join that Discord and voice your opinion on that.
That will probably not be a category, no. Willingly handicapping yourself is not a sufficient reason to have a category. I'd recommend running a category before even asking for leaderboards for it.
Anything that is possible is allowed with multiple controllers. The categories have been created already.
In an ideal run where your luck aligns perfectly, Alpha Sapphire is probably faster. Kyogre is wastes a lot less time than Groudon. The Mudkip section is faster in Alpha Sapphire than Omega Ruby too. The type advantage does only really make 2 fights faster while everything on Mt. Chimney is much slower in Omega Ruby because the Koffings aren't easy to kill due to Levitate and Maxie's Mightyena has Intimidate while Archie's doesn't. Latias vs. Latios is another story though, as Latias needs (usually) needs more setup and needs to pickup Grass Knot. Latias also struggles a lot against all the Sharpedo with Ice Fang, especially when Latias is slower than them.
Overall Omega Ruby is the safer run though and finishing runs is easier in it. I was on pace similar to eddaket's PB during quite a few runs, but these all died to having a bad Latias or Kyogre. Bad stats on legendaries impact Omega Ruby runs way less.
The console doesn't matter in Gen 6.
Yes, as long as we can see what's going on, you are absolutely fine with that :)
The girl is faster because of the Rival 2 fight. Grovyle is Rash, which makes it easier to kill with Echoed Voice.
Mudkip is better because Mudkip can easily deal with Roxanne first of all. Then the Ground typing helps a lot against the Electric and Fire gym. Also Bulldoze is available really early on which also drops opponents' speed by one stage, which is helpful multiple times.
I recommend joining our Pokémon Speedrun Discord to get more answers as these forums are fairly dead: https://www.speedrun.com/pkmnoras/thread/5ggs8
We accept any run that is complete and respects the rules. Don't be afraid to post camera footage if you don't have a capture card. It's always a pleasure to see new runners in later generation games =)
Let us know if you have any questions, I'm pretty sure a lot of us will be gladly answering them ;)
I'm not sure how you settled on assuming the color selection for the layout for Pokémon Quest is reasonable, but you don't need to be a UX expert to know that yellow and awfully bright green don't mix well for readability. My recommendation would be to use a better color schemes generator than random.org.
https://coolors.co/ is probably the most known and usually helps a lot for beginners.
