for catch em all (more specifically unova dex) there isnt any numbers stated for how many there actually are, so im curious since its called unova dex if that means you have to trade stuff in (other starters, thund/torn, trade evo mons like conk, or if its just tied to max dex for that one game, like how rby catext has Blue 124.

This isn't something that can be changed easily without creating entire new boards, its just a function of the site.
Considering Inteleon is the top any% route, the only difference this category would hold is Watch catch tutorial and Slower fire gym trial. Not saying you can't run it if you find it enjoyable, but its practically any%. And if you find yourself mainly using a different Pokemon, like you said, Toxel, then you are probably better off running Trade Alt Main Toxel or Alt Main.
Eternatus is a forced catch but I suppose you could just box it, but still kind of negates the idea of not catching anything. The only way to avoid catching it is to have all 32 boxes full so I suppose you could breed a ton of pokemon but that sounds like hell.
dont know how you expect to do this without infinite soul
- Not sure why you made a new forum post when you had just posted in another one, no need to have a ton of separate forums.
- Keeping track of things like this is not efficient in speedrun.com
- These categories would not be made unless a noticeable amount of people actually showed interest or did runs of these categories.
- These runs would be annoying to verify as you would have to make sure they did not touch an 'optional' object.
The only emulator allowed for runs is the Gambatte emulator, the directions to install it are in the category rules, along with this link to it. Feel free to ask in the discord about help setting it up. https://github.com/pokemon-speedrunning/gambatte-speedrun/releases
This has already been answered multiple times on the src forums, the answer could easily be found in one of those posts. There are no differences is load times or version specific glitches, the game is the the exact same for both PC and console runners in most categories, the only exception being Farewell. One advantage that PC has is being able to bind two actions to one button to make demo button of cutscene skip button.
My preference is that each chapter is labeled in Level Leaderboards, seperate from the main game, and we can have All Fairies, All Treasure, and 100% as a sub-category for each level, as well as the full game
I want to run this game, but I run on Xbox One, which is on the 1.0 patch. Not only are load times slower, but the 1.0 patch has a completely janked up IGT timer. The timer pauses in hub levels and is not continuous with the 1.1 patch in many places. Any suggestions or fixes?
