The main ILs could be Normal ILs, Itemless ILs, and 100% ILs like SM3DW. Ig there could also be secret exits and easy character ILs like NSMBUD/NSLU

I don't think splicing would be much of a problem because of UI changes. However, I think it would be good to use RTA for ILs until if/when Nintendo adds an IGT
True, that's the main problem of ILs in this game. It might be added a while after the game releases anyway
For a while now, I've been wondering if ILs (individual levels) could exist on the leaderboard. From the trailer, it doesn't seem like there is IGT to track it, but there is a race feature in the game that tracks your time. If you could race solo, I think that ILs would make a great addition to the leaderboard.
After thinking over it, I don't think that that koopa shell should count as a jump. So 1-2 is possible jumpless that's cool.
I am aware of the jumps from the shell, but idk whether or not it should count as a jump. Even if 1-2 is possible jumpless, 2-4 is impossible after you enter the 1st pipe. But I think a minimum jump category would be challenging but fun as it would probably be harder than even MINIMUM CAPTURES in SMO!
Hit the save on "layout" and "splits". Or just put your split/layout info on a doc just in case it gets lost.

You are correct. 1-1 and 1-3 are possible jumpless, but 1-2 requires 1 jump I think

Heavily RNG based. In that case, the most optimal run would be a little timmy level with a spam of goombas and a superstar. Could be a good CE if there is one.
