I currently don't have a copy of FF2, and getting one would be a pain considering I live in a NTSC region and have a PAL console. So, would it be okay to do speedruns with OPL?
Just explaining something, there is a way to reduce the speed of memory transfer rate to be very close to that of a CD (Some games break in faster speeds).
So... I recently bought a PS2 to revive my old memories. One of the first games I got was Curious George, a game that I remember being pretty fun when I was a child. The PS2 I bought is a PAL revision (SCHP-30004R) but I live in a NTSC region (Brazil), so I can't get my hands on a physical copy that could work with it, at least not without spending a lot of money. So I resorted to OPL to play the game, running in it's HDD. Many speedrun communities ban OPL for its faster loading speeds, some allow it under the emulation category.
So if I would to speedrun the game in OPL, could I submit a run? Would it be allowed?
