sooo I just found out that this game was finally added to src after I submitted this game a year ago and honestly I don't know what to say. I'm shocked that I got an email saying this was added after so long. I don't know what happened to the point where it took them a year to get to it I thought it was rejected but better later than never I guess. The thing is the hype to run this game died a LOOONG TIME AGO in my opinion and I have not played it since last year. I had categories planned out but since it never got accepted until now I kinda forgot my plans for this game. I really have no interest in doing anything with this game until there are other people out there that show they are interested too.

So this is your chance right here! If you're reading this and would like to run it or have a run already, let me know and reply to this with some category ideas/your run and I will add the category when I have the time

(EDIT: Also it seems like the game has changed a lot compared to when I first ran it. More obstacles have been added meaning I cannot even submit my old run because it would be unfair to everyone else)

I have an idea for a category that I've done a few times since 2017 when I've been playing the game causally. Its where you do all 5 of the training camp tutorials back to back. I simply called the category Training Camp. Time starts when you select the first tutorial and ends after you're finished with the last one when the textbox pops up. All the tutorials have to be done in order too from top to bottom. The best time I have been able to get is a 13:38 which was from earlier this year. Its a category that people can run if they're just looking for a short category.

There should also be a discord as a central hub where people go to talk about speedruns of slither. There is no established server yet because the mod has not made one or added one to the side bar. The way this game's leaderboards is being run right now is a joke. This mod has stopped caring about modding this game as they're not responding to any posts or DM's, yet they're still actively verifying runs. Runs that are not even retimed properly. Having only one mod at this games size is ridiculous. I hope the site staff helps us out here and you get modded. There are runners of this game that would do a better job at modding since they would actually care more about having an accurate leaderboard.

Actually I shouldn't have even asked of course the answer is gonna be no. Guess I will have to buy a new switch and a copy if I want to run this game in the future

I'm interested in running, is there a way to like back up your save data without hacking your switch so you don't lose your town?

I’m really glad you remember this happening and I’m glad you understand. I thought I was screwed when I had no proof to show. I’ve enabled email authentication so whenever you’re free go ahead and make me a supermod or mod (whatever you feel comfortable with).

Hey MVP 2005 mods. My names Jimmy, I’m a SM64 speedrunner and YT streamer. I submitted this game to speedrun.com in May 2017 after looking for games to run and was the first person to do a run of this game. I played this game from my youth and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to find a way to run it and I did. Here’s a link to the original run I submitted: . I was the original mod of this game, and it was only me for a bit until late 2017. I was in a bad mindset at the time. I was pretty depressed. I was stressed out from multiple things including personal things and speedrunning. So when someone submitted a run one day, I unmodded my self from the game shortly after and you guys had to go resubmit it to the site again. I apologize for that. If you guys don’t remember any of this, then you are probably really confused.

Anyway, I’m making this post to say that I think I’m ready to be mods for games again. I took a break for a bit and I came back recently. I wanted to see if you guys remembered any of this happening and I want to be a supermod again. I have a lot of ideas for categories, and me and my brothers love playing this game. We played it back then, and we still play it today. I try to get them to do speedruns of some of the categories I made up even tho they aren’t speedrunners lol

I believe it only saves about half a second over English. The intro obviously saves some time, but you lose some of that time with the slow text boxes. So you hardly save anytime playing on Japanese, but it’s still good to play on if you’re like a Top 50 player since every second counts.

You could save your original file on an SD card if you really want to keep your save data. I do like the idea of this category though, I would do a run as along as it’s not too long

Hey a mod for Wii Music wants to make me a mod for that game, but he can't since he isn't a supermod. The mod had to use the same process I'm using right now because the super mod has been ignoring the submitted runs, so I was wondering if you can make the mod a supermod, or make me a mod
