For the category "All Minikits and Bricks", I think it'd be useful if we show where the collectible are.
I found a guide from gamefaqs that says what to do in text form, but it'd be far more useful to use pictures.
The problem is, I can't find level maps/level layouts for this game. I find it for the PC/Console/Mobile version, which isn't the same as this version of the game. If you do find any, or all, please post links as to where they are.
It says it on the tin.
Currently practicing door clips. Feels random when I get it, and don't fully know inputs.
I think we should add an "All Minikits" category here, mainly because there's one on the PC/Console equivalent to this game. Can we add this to here?
I was messing around with some mechanics in this game for Free Play, and I found that two characters can be selected for Free Play on multiplayer.
Before I type up a guide for this game, I want to make sure this isn't a banned strat.
Also, would it matter if only one person controls both DS's, or one per DS?
- On the BIOS screen, tap UP+B after the Nintendo logo appears, but before the Game Boy logo does.
- Standard buffer
- Walk around in the grass for ~8s
This Nidoran has above average stats in everything except defense, which is 1 DV Kappa.
DVs are 15/11/1/11/13
I actually had to edit the title, because this Nido was different from what I initially got. Tested this on a GBA, and it works!
I downloaded the savestates, but when I try to load them on gambatte-speedrun, they don't show up.
What emulator are they supposed to work for, or are they currently broken right now?
So, I decided to work on TASing any% for this game, and simulating perfect play. It was surprisingly easy.
The time of this TAS (by the timing convention in the rules here) is 33:19.933.
Now, to address an issue.
On iOS, (if using the screen recording widget) and the sound goes out, then it means that the sound has hit its limit on recording. This limit is 35-45 minutes, and it happened in my Knuckles run here. Sometimes notifications can trigger it, and ads can do so too.
To avoid this: -turn off notifications -get rid of the ads (I have a thread on this. please read it) -stop your recording after you reset to avoid going over the limit.
Yesterday, on November 21, this game went to v4.0, and joined the free SEGA Forever Classics. With this, came ads, which can be removed with an in-app purchase for $1.99
But, if you got S22013 before 11/21/2017, when it cost $3.99 to buy it, you can "restore" the in-app purchase. It will ask you to enter your password in, and in 5 seconds the ads will be no more.
So, if you got the game before November 21st, you can do this. If not, I'm afraid you will have to do the in-app purchase.

So, I know that when this game went to v3.0, the game became free w/ads. If you wanted to remove the ads, you needed to buy the $2 in-app purchase on Android or iOS.
But, if you got S12013 before the v3.0 update, when it cost $3.99 to buy it, you can "restore" the in-app purchase. It will ask you to enter your password in, and in 5 seconds the ads will be no more.
So, if you got the game before June of 2017, you can do this. If not, I'm afraid you will have to do the in-app purchase.
I have a speedrun of this game on iOS (specifically, an iPad), but all I see for platforms this game was released on was PC,X360, and PS3. In fact, the mobile releases came out in late 2011, before any of the other 3 listed here.
If you haven't heard of it, don't be ashamed. Here's the website of it: https://www.bittboy.com/
Essentially, it is an NES/Famicom in the size of a GBC. It has 129 games built-in, including SMB, SMB3 and Mega Man 3
My question is this: Would speedruns on this be accepted? I have no clue of the frame rate of it, after searching for a while.
Also, what would I, or someone running on this classify the platform as?
The link to download the SMB Livesplit plugin gives a 404 error on dropbox.
Can this please be fixed??
I have an all video guide on YT that has been up for a while, except I don't know how to ""embed"" a video on the guide page.
It mixes advanced, intermediate and beginner strats. Essentially, it shows how to speedrun like me. It has all characters in the tutorial.
I have a 2:15:47 Pokemon Blue (JPN) run from over two years back, but can't submit due to vid proof requirements not stated in the rules.
I do, however have a picture proof of it being completed on real GBA hardware.
IGT was 2:10, but the S+Q totaled ~5min extra.
The two speedruns uploaded have two different parameters. One is beat the game as Sonic alone, and one is beat the game as Sonic and Tails.
In my opinion, these two should be separate categories and not all one category. If they shouldn't, why wouldn't they be?
Also, one completely unrelated question. When a level is paused, there is a restart option. Clicking this button restarts the level, at the cost of a life. So, do restarts count as deaths or are they not?
