I got more or less same numbers, the game only showing first decimal makes for some annoying rounding. Coal has the same 1.1 as Cedar.
And here's some values for fridge, the quality doesn't have any effect: Raw deer 1kg 900 Jerky 350 Summit soda 250 Dog food 500 Granola bar 300 Crackers 600
cooking deer meat actually loses a tiny amount of value.
I've been tinkering with this C4 door glitch for some time now, and I think it's now solid enough to share for everyone, with 8-10second gain Here's the steps for it (times are on-screen timer, not video time): 29s: take cover at left edge of that small piece of wall 31.5s: when Joe says "off my back", move right across the corner (you know you did it right when Joe abandons his lockpicking animation) 37-41s: stay at the 4th stair, while Joe does small pauses between animations. you can start running when Joe gets up that second part of stairs. Then just carry on up as usual.
IF Joe gets stuck after leaving the first platform in 41s, just run past him and all the way upstairs to the final platform (the one with the big red Firehose box). this will trigger Joe to continue up, it costs some time, but should still be few seconds faster than regular way
You can copy your save files for easier testing/practise. Go to %LOCALAPPDATA%\2K Games\Mafia III\Data"longnumber"\gamesaves\default\aslot. there's 3 files in there, named save0-2.sav. just copy those somewhere else. when you want to load a save, just exit the game and copy your backups to "aslot" folder and replace whatever's in there. HOWEVER, these files don't include collectibles, if you overwrite your saves the collectibles will reset.
--Edited for improved route, faster and safer-- There's a way to skip all gunfights in casino there's still some fine tuning on that, which wall sections are easiest to get through etc. but the basic route is pretty much there. The guards seem to differ their position in their routes a little, might be just from checkpoint-loading while testing. In any case, there's 3 to kill, 1 down and 2 up. You have to do the first clip and visit hallway for a trigger.
Downtown: Blackmail: killing the "follow" car driver gives 1k, following leads you to meeting with a guy that gives 10k, a money bag with 3k and the followed guy still gives 1k. There are "dead drops" hidden in some alleys, these are 1k moneybags marked by that swirly symbol on a wall nearby, also show on minimap as green dollar. This map shows all the drops (those smaller pink ones with sguare in the middle, 14 total)
I think these deserve their own thread, maybe eventually turn them to a guide after enough data is collected. Main focus should be minimizing bayou missions, finding the biggest value missions and identifying potential problem spots (rackets requiring patrolling cars etc). After these are collected, the actual routing inside each zone gets much easier. At least some of the interrogation locations seem to be randomly selected, there's some checking to do if there are guaranteed ones. Interrogation abbreviated to inter later, to reduce wall of text
Some general notes on racket damage: Money on the tables etc (picked up with E) counts for the damage and gives you the cash too Guards give 50$ for damage, some drop cash for player (no racket dmg from this) Called reinforcements don't give racket dmg Do the extra money pickups and optional destruction (triangles on minimap) before finishing main objective (map, inters etc), if you do the main one and die/leave area, the extra stuff disappears.
Barclay Mills: Guns(30k): NOTE: some inters are bad, the northern warehouse left of garbage dump is a good one. good inter spot gives ~10k and the 2 gun icons in Mills give over 11k, no need to visit bayou if you get a good inter. Garbage(50k): 1st mission around 13,8k for guards/pickups +10k for explosion. ~26,2k left inter amounts vary a lot, likely best one is left side coast hut. Stash-house lower left corner: 2k per killed cleaner, 10k lockbox+scattered pickups 24,4k should add up to just over 50k even with worst inter. If you somehow get below 50k, the beach warehouses have barrel floats on water 2k each. No need to do skull.
Here's a fast and safe way for the Tanager part in Harbor that wall-climb at the end might be useful in other places as well, I think it works because the corner bit doesn't have spikes.
also an example way to kill frank before chase starts, this one might have a million ways to do
I was looking at Chapter 5 and found this route to el greco. It saves around 10 seconds compared to the usual bridge-alley drop route. It's also slightly more consistent, at least for me. In my opinion, the regular run has two tough spots: the turn-in for bridge might get screwed with traffic, and the alley-drop might backfire terribly. This one has the last right hand turn (near Vito's appartment) that sometimes has heavy traffic, but most of the time there's a line either on road or through sidewalk.
Hello everybody. I'm a long-time fan of speedrunning, and I've also done some private running in the past. Now I finally got a long overdue pc upgrade, and decided to have a go at the leaderboards. Currently I'm most interested in Mafia II with it's lovely city and not too broken mechanics. I'm also looking at some shorter games to fill in the gaps. Human Fall Flat feels right up my alley and I already got it to sub-17.
