Many runners have been expressing their interest in a Pacifist category (to kill the least amount of mobs possible). Therefore we decided to create a spreadsheet leaderboard to test the waters. You can find more details in this following link. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14MN08DzaeGDiZgNxK5wJyM-P9_yarhtUDTxLunalTFE/edit?usp=sharing
Can I just change difficulty to medium once I get control of the game for the run to be valid?
As some of you noticed, the leaderboards have been added with in game time. The main driving force to the change is to help runners with slow load times to be able to compete at the same ground as the ones with good load times without technical limitations.
Full game category: Our initial vision is to make IGT as the primary timing. However currently most of the runs do not include IGT in their video proof. We also realise that there exist a risk of abusing RTA timing rules and menuing skills will be significantly downplayed. These made the idea challenging to implement and not realistic at the moment. Therefore, our alternative is to retain the current comparison method but make IGT visible, in hopes to encourage more people to submit runs with IGT and to display the actual quality of the core gameplay at the same time. Showing IGT after a run is still a recommendation not a requirement but this may change in the future.
Individual Levels: The addition of IGT to IL is honestly unexpected by the mods (we cannot choose to exclude IGT from the board). Me and MrPitt will continue to discuss a solution on the final appearance of the leaderboards. For the moment for IL submission, please enter the time at "Time" field only. All Warp Keys category will still be timed as it used to be without changes.
If you have any suggestions or complaints, feel free to discuss at #papa-louie-3 in the Speedrunning Server or DM JackPotato or MrPitt on Discord. Have a good day.
