I think there should be a standardized way of timing runs. I was looking at some runs and some seemed to be not timed correctly.
This tool works pretty well for retiming videos on YouTube: https://slashinfty.github.io/yt-frame-timer/
Right now, for another speedrun, my W and S, and A and D keys are switched. Would I be allowed to run type categories with these keys switched? (It takes a long time to switch to and from the normal and remapped keyboards)
I checked on the Play store and could not find this game. How do you get it?
I was thinking to have a leaderboard to see who can beat each level with the highest percentage left on the safe. 100% would be the best and 1% would be the worst.
Currently, level runs are timed in seconds resulting in many ties on the leaderboards. I was thinking of changing the timing method to milliseconds but I would like to hear what everyone else has to say first. If you think milliseconds are a good idea, please reply yes. If not, please reply no. After three days, I will check the results. Majority rules. In case of a tie, there will be no changes to timing. Please note all runs will be retimed with one of the following retimers: https://slashinfty.github.io/yt-frame-timer/ or https://github.com/Slush0Puppy/retime
I have changed the default timing method to in-game time. You no longer need to retime your runs.
Right now, in the Training Cave leaderboard, brawlers of all power levels with star powers and gadgets are allowed. My suggestion is adding a category for level 1 brawlers only. This way, the leaderboard is accessable to everyone (on a new account, you can click "try" on brawlers you haven't unlocked yet and they will be level 1 in training cave).
Right now, there are 16 levels (ammo hills - 1, ammo hills - 2, etc.). Each level has four variables (ammo hills%, gunpowder cave, deagle dreamland, mt. combustion). This leaves 64 leaderboards. Can someone delete these variables so there is 16 leaderboards?
When I go the the IL leaderboard, it shows four categories for each level. Which one do I submit my runs in?
How are we retiming runs? Are we using Slush Puppy's retime tool ( https://github.com/Slush0Puppy/retime ), an online retimer ( https://slashinfty.github.io/yt-frame-timer/ ), or something else? I compared a recent run I did with the current WR side by side. WR was about 1.5 seconds faster than me. However, when I retimed my run using https://slashinfty.github.io/yt-frame-timer/ , my time was 3:30. The starting frame was when I pressed "z" and ending frame was when I received the level 8 medal on the final screen.
Right now, the rules say timer starts when you on the level. This works fine but it means when ever you want to reset, you need to exit to the main screen instead of pressing the restart button. Would it be okay to change the rules so timing begins on the first frame of movement?
I am proficient for the first 5 minutes of the run but then I forget what to do.
I tried a run with a super headstart and failed. Now I need to get 10000 more coins. Would it be possible to make a 5000m category without power ups or head starts?
