So i have a 120Hz monitor and I can't change it to 60Hz (don't give solution to help, the manufacturer of my laptop confirmed that i couldn't do it and i searched for a while)
I know that 120Hz is forbidden i just wanted to be sure that high refresh rate issues were still a thing (who knows ^^) and what they are.
I just want to know that so i won't record my runs while it cannot be accepted in the leaderboards

You have to deactivate the save synchronization in the cloud or play offline because the game will always want to download the save from the cloud

Which version of the game do you use ? If it's 1.2.5 than it won't work. If you have the gale on steal you should switch to the ogversion which is the one with every speedrun techs. Just right click on meat boy ob steam-> properties and in the beta tab select ogversion‚ no password required
If you want to learn to speedrun this game and you have a 60hz monitor and you have the steam version switch to the ogversion because some speedrun tricks (pause buffer) aren't on 1.2.5.
right click meatboy in your steam library and go to properties. activate "ogversion" from the beta tab. no code needed.
I also experience some input drops on 1.2.5 but i have heard that other runners have that issue on the ogversion too. But i rarely have drops personally.
I suppose you have a monitor which runs at more than 60hz ? If it's the case the only solution is to run the newest patch or find a way to make your monitor run at 60hz
Nop you are not doing something wrong because it has been patched but you can switch to the ogversion which is the original version of the game with pause buffer.
->right click Super Meat Boy in your library, ->Properties, ->Betas tab ->select ogversion from the dropdown menu.
Keep in mind that the worl record is made by an amazing player which explain the gap between wr on console and pc. And i totally agree that we should seperate console and pc leaderboards since the version are different in term of loadings and it could encourage console players to run the game
Thanks a lot it works perfectly while limiting the fps to 60. The only small issue is that the livesplit autosplitter doesn't work anymore.is there a way to make it work? It was practical but not essential.

What do speedrunners usually do when they have a monitor which have more than 60Hz refresh rate?
Splasher, an excellent 2D platformer to start speedrunning or if you want a game like super meat boy to speedrun
So now rivaturner works perfectly well and when I don't limit my framerate with vsync enabled i get 120fps constant and it seems that the whole game is running at the normal speed ( obstacles' speed...) but bosses (dr fetus and brownie) are too fast (I cannot go faster than them). I have compared theses obstacles speeds with other videos of speedrunners with a timer and it was exactly the same.
But while limiting my framerate to 60fps all animations, obstacles speed , menu speed are really slow but boss' speeds are normal. Enable vsync or not and windowed or full screen doesn't change anything. All of that is really weird :/
And where in msi afterburner can I activate refresh rate display I don't find it? I have only find related to frames : Framerate and frame time (don't really know if I should care about this vallue).
For now i think i will speedrun the game and just not do the last boss level. That's not a huge issue i just wanted to know what time i can get and not fight for WR.
I have try to use it but i couldn't install it because apparently it doesn't work on my version of windows 10 (the latest update) even if i use the version from msi afterburner

I get 60fps (i have limit it to this value) and i have enabled vsync
I feel that when I limit my fps to 60 the games looks slower than it should. My game looks like that :
When i am recording i don't have these strange glitchs and i am able to finish the last level.
