IIRC, doing the midgar skip straight into Hojo glitches the game's music later down the line for the final dungeon.

Given the RNG, wouldn't a speedrun be 10s up to 100s of hours? I don't recall the odds but there's multiple alchemiracles needed right? Plus RNGing into the right grotto maps

Though I like the idea of more new F2P categories, Steam Achievements does include Dragon Slayer (https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Steam_Achievements). That would be quite time consuming, and there's still only one run on the boards for it right now. These would include that and more.

But eh, always like to see new F2P content/categories if possible.

It could be useful for keeping route notes in one spot or discuss ideas for the Etrian games.

Ex Nexus doesn't have any English guides or anything, but I think if there was a place to discuss ideas together, it would be useful for growing the English community, even if its a small community right now.

Huh, you said English release. Is throwing items weakened in Japanese and other versions? What's their dominant strats then?

(Also agree that a "No Throwables" is interesting but "Completely no items" sounds much more tedious. Healing too would be annoying in battles.)
