There has recently been some major updates to the Polytopia game. In fact, the changes to the AI and the recent balance changes, as well as results off of the poll done in our discord server, have led us to make the decision to split Versions into 2 categories: Versions 1-51 and Versions 60+.

Now, you might be wondering if there will be any new strategies for these categories. Well, to list a few huge differences:

• Any% will/might be completely different with buffed AI
• Perfection runs will take more points, making it so new strategies will come
• IL runs will have some new strategies because the economy was slightly changed

If you want to know what version you are on, there are two main ways to do it. If one doesn’t work, try the other one.

The first method of checking your version is simple. Go to multiplayer, and then click on “Profile”. Your game version will be listed under your profile.

Although, this will not work for people below version 47. So, for people with accounts below version 47, this is how to check which version you are on: Go to Multiplayer. Click on “New Game”. Start a pass and play game with yourself or a Polytopia bot. Exit the game. Scroll down to click on the game you just created. Then click on “More Info”. Your current game version will be listed there.

This is really exciting for the community. The door has now been opened for many new record contenders and competitors to come. We hope to see more activity among the community!
